Steaming Cows and Finally Growing a Pair…

Back for another Monday night, MC Jenny took to the stage to control the wackies and the crazies

For Explosions! we had two teams fighting it out for the glory of a laminated certificate. Team Back Rub of Kath, Myron, Neil and Gary took on Team We Love You of Quinn, James, Margherita and Caitlin! Tonight’s fun included an elderly romantic encounter at a supermarket, a heart-warming story of a steamy cow and saw a motorbike deal going horribly wrong.

Our second half involved our new format, Lights! Camera! Improvise! where our improvisers come up with spontaneous movie titles and perform a short scene from that. Once we have four, the audience vote for their favourite one and perform a full length short film feature premier for that movie.

Our winning choice tonight was “Momma’s Boy” – Will He Grow A Pair”. Tony is 34 and lives at home with his mother. A self-confessed ‘momma’s boy” but his brother Gregory and wife Celeste have plans to bring him some independence. Throw in a visit from the Ghost of Mother’s Day future and all sorts of drama and intrigue was revealed. Did Tony become an independent bachelor? Did Gregory break free of the man collar placed on him by Celeste?  You should have been there to find out. Remember, it’s created for the first time and performed for the last time!
